Native Region/Natural Habitat
African Grey parrots generally inhabit savannas, coastal mangroves, woodlands and edges of forest clearings in their west and central Africa range. These birds have a much wider natural range in the African, including south eastern Ivory-Coast, Kenya and Tanzania. The Timneh African Grey is found in a smaller region along the western edge of the Ivory-Coast and through southern Guinea. The diet in the wild mostly consists of palm nuts, seeds, fruits and leafy matter.

Care And Feeding
Food for your pet bird will include large ready made hookbill seed mix enriched with vitamin. Their dietary requirement includes sources of Calcium and Vitamin A. They eat a variety of sprouts, seeds, nuts ,fruits, vegetables, commercial pellets as well as nutritional foods that humans eat. A cattle bone or calcium block is a good source of Calcium.
African greys should not be fed foods that are high in protein and fat.
